The LINC Second School will be held at the Conference Hotel Kontakt der Kontinenten in Soesterberg, the Netherlands (See google map). Soesterberg is located in Utrechtse Heuvelrug, the central part of the Netherlands, which is convenient to Amersfoort Central Station (8 kilometres) and Utrecht Central Station (17 kilometers). The hotel is 63 kilometers away from Schiphol, Amsterdam Airport.

How to get there

Direction from Schilphol, Amsterdam Airport

From Schilphol, you are strongly advised to take the train to Amersfoort Central Station. From there, you take a bus to the hotel. Amersfoort is the closest train station to the venue and has more frequent bus service to the venue!

Schiphol train station is situated directly below the airport. Direct trains between Schilphol and Amersfoort Central Station run every half an hour. The train ride takes about 45 minutes. A single-ride ticket costs 9.2 Euro. You can check the train schedule from the website of Nederlands Railways (NederlandseSpoorwegen).

Direction from Amersfoort Central Station

From Amersfoort Central Station, take Connexxion bus 52 (direction Utrecht) or Connexxion bus 56 (direction Wijk bij Duurstede) and get off at Soesterberg, Kontakt der Kontinenten. The bus stop is opposite the hotel. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. A single-ride ticket costs 2 Euro and is available from the bus driver on board.

Bus 56 runs hourly from 8.00 to 23.00 in the weekend and every half an hour to one hour from 6.14 to 00.38 in weekdays. Bus 52 runs less frequently. You can check the bus schedule here.

Direction from Utrecht Central Station

If you depart from Utrecht Central Station, take Connexxion bus 52 (direction Amersfoort) and get off at Soesterberg, Kontakt der Kontinenten. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. A single-ride ticket costs 4 Euro and is available from the bus driver on board.

You can find bus 52 at the Bus Station South situated below the train station. From Monday to Friday, the bus runs every 15-30 minutes from 6.09 to 18.10. Please be reminded that before 9am and after 3pm not every bus 52 stops at Soesterberg, Kontakt der Kontinenten! Please check with the bus driver. On Saturday and Sunday, bus 52 runs less frequently. Accommodation

The hotel offers double twin rooms to the students of the School. The organisation will take care of the reservation of hotel rooms.

Parking

Free parking is available outside the hotel.

Tourist Information

The Hotel is closed to Utrecht City. You can visit interesting place in Utrecht like the Dick Bruna House (The Miffy Museum), have a city boat trip along the Canel, the Dom Tower and the UNESCO World Heritage Rietveld Schroeder House.
